Dave Bedwood Takes Off With Golf Content Creation Agency

Former Creative Director of The & Partnership, Dave Bedwood, tapped into his passion for golf and started a creative production agency dedicated to the sport.

Named Seven Iron, the fledgling boutique’s production is run by co-founder and production partner Andy Roberts, a television producer who previously worked at The & Partnership.

Eamonn Curtin, Deputy Managing Director of Telegenic, joins the group as a non-executive director. Curtin brings his experience to filming golf events such as the Open, The Ryder Cup and the PGA Championship.

The agency has previously produced a television campaign featuring golf memorabilia for the online booking service GolfNow, with work being posted around the recent The Open Championship.

The work follows two television commercials for NBC Golf Pass. Premier professional golfer Rory McIlroy was broadcast on Sky Sports during the Masters.

Bedwood soft launched Seven Iron in September 2020 after a nine month consultation period.

A year earlier he had left The & Partnership London, where he had been a creative partner for two years. He joined in 2017 from Cauliflower, an agency he created earlier that year. Prior to that, Bedwood was Creative Director at M&C Saatchi for a year and spent 10 years founding Lean Mean Fighting Machine, a digital agency he co-founded in 2004.

Bedwood said, “I love golf, but in my opinion it doesn’t always present itself in a modern and engaging way. We believe there is a need for the standards of creativity and production that we offer, for an industry that has traditionally not been able to afford West End agencies. “
