“SMDC has been a big part of my growth and development as a person. I think for you to be a good person, it’s important that you maximize your skills and talents, to touch the lives of others and bring good to the community. —Joshua Parayno, SMDC Light Residences resident

For Joshua Parayno, basketball and fitness are things he couldn’t imagine himself and his life without. “I don’t know what I would have become if I hadn’t joined my friends who were in basketball then.”

Parayno, a 22-year-old student, never thought he would be a content creator, and even known for his basketball tricks. “My first sport was football when I was in elementary school, but then my friends invited me to join a basketball tricks group. At first, I didn’t know what I was doing, but when I learned the basics, it was a very rewarding experience for me.

He then created a YouTube account four years ago to share his knowledge of the sport and his new passion. As the channel now has over 4,000 subscribers and over 34,000 views, Parayno admits that he continues to hone his content creation skills, such as thinking about what content would be relevant and engaging for his audience.

“I have home workout tips and workout essentials. I believe the pandemic has locked us all at home. That’s why I made a lot of content not only on YouTube, but also on my Facebook and Instagram accounts, to help people take care of themselves,” Parayno added.

Over the years, Parayno has learned to master his craft and has been featured in various shows. “I didn’t expect to make Bangon Talentadong Pinoy’s Top 5 on this episode. I just gave my best and believed that God would do the rest,” he said. declared.
