Next-generation IN Cell high-content analysis solutions featuring new IN Carta image analysis software

11 april 2017 – The new IN Carta image analysis software from GE Healthcare’s Life Sciences business combines powerful analyzes with an intuitive user interface to deliver rapid, quantitative results from images acquired on IN Cell Analyzer systems. Additionally, GE Healthcare launched IN Cell Analyzer 6500SH, a third generation confocal laser imaging system and IN Cell Analyzer 2500SH, a fourth generation fully automated wide-field cell imaging system.

New IN Carta software incorporates advanced segmentation algorithms designed to reliably extract the information needed for downstream phenotypic analysis without the need for complex image pre- or post-processing operations. True multi-well parallel processing and integrated visualization tools enable users to efficiently achieve their experimental goals. The software brings together powerful analyzes and intuitive workflows to solve complex problems for all researchers, regardless of their level of image analysis expertise.

IN Cell Analyzer 6500SH enables a wide range of high content tests, from basic multi-colored fixed cell tests to the most complex live and 3D cell tests. This next-generation system offers increased throughput and enables the acquisition of images of exceptional quality, even for the most demanding 3D samples such as spheroids and organoids. The system is equipped with IRIS and EDGE linear scanning confocal technologies. IN Cell Analyzer 2500SH is a high content, wide field imaging system designed for speed, sensitivity and throughput. Equipped with deconvolution, the system is optimized to produce quantifiable data from long-term living cell imaging experiments and weak samples. The ultra-fast scan times and high frame rates of the camera allow the system to perform a wide range of functions, from large-scale displays to studying rapid kinetic events. The system also includes tools such as Smart Scan which reduces imaging time, optimizes data collection and minimizes data volume.
